Every Monday we showcase the best of the UnderPinned Community, putting a spotlight on two freelancers whose work we believe deserve a special mention.

My name is Stela and I am a freshly graduated illustrator! I love creating busy scenes with wobbly characters and bright colours.
Human interaction is key in my art and I always strive to have a deeper message behind the images I am creating, while keeping it positive and playful. Themes that I often incorporate in my work are sustainability, wellbeing and care – meaning things that I am passionate about. One of my favourite projects so far is my zine ‘Essential Foods for a Sustainable Diet‘. I had a lot of fun creating an informative display of the main nutritional groups while drawing cosy scenes and cute characters.
Even though I am just in the beginning of my career as a freelance artist I have had the pleasure of creating work for BUMF magazine, the Dorset Emergency Fundraiser, ‘Tragic End’ Short Stories, the publication Lady Garden, and many lovely individuals who have approached me for personal commissions. I love that I get to work with all kinds of people and bring their ideas to life and I am excited to see what the future holds and the projects ahead of me!

Alex Baró Cayetano
I’m Alex, an Independent Director and Editor with 4 years of experience working in London. Seasoned when it comes to visual effects and motion graphics content. Most of my projects are music related – either music videos or live sessions. And when given the chance I love getting involved in story-driven short films.
A lot of my time is spent creating personal projects to build a portfolio with stories that matter to me as well as collaborating with other artists. Clients include Sony Music, Facebook and VICE.
