Livy Nelson, Illustrator

I’m Livy Nelson, aka Livy Has No Life, a multi-disciplinary artist and illustrator now living in South West Scotland. I love creating work but I also love being part of the arts community in whatever way I can from putting on exhibitions to running workshops.

My most recent work deals with psychedelic and surreal paintings. The artwork is a vivid exploration of colour and imagination, with a vibrant, fantasy-style aesthetic.

The mountains and seascapes that I grew up around remain a great source of inspiration to me, from the vibrant and contrasting colours to the environments themselves. I also developed a strong love for the natural world and an interest in environmental issues.

In 2018 I was selected for the Pop-Up Brighton Emerging Artists Award which gave me the confidence to push my work forward. Since then I have exhibited and shown my work at several events such as ClusterLondon, Shake Bristol and The Oven Dumfries. Unfortunately, the projects and exhibitions that I was to be involved in at the moment have been cancelled due to COVID-19, as is the case across the world. These were Spring Fling, ‘Across The Sea’ at the Island Arts Centre and Upfest, Bristol.

This strange time we are facing is making a lot of us think outside the box. I have been making Isolation Art Workshops up on YouTube and have been challenging my work with 2-hour paint sessions that I have been doing live on Instagram. Hope you guys are staying inside, staying safe and doing your best to get through this!

Alice Furguson, Photographer

My name’s Alice Furguson, I’m a content creator working with still and moving image who loves the magic of creating images that evoke feelings in the viewer. I have often taken the role of creative director alongside that of the photographer and collaborated with stylist teams to create visual stories. I live down in the SW of England so that I can get a dose of vitamin sea but am no stranger to travelling for work, having come from South Africa and spent time wandering the world.
