I’m Laura, a freelance illustrator currently based in Oxfordshire who loves vintage things and drawing people. I have worked with international clients on projects from editorial to concept sketching, in sectors from food and drink to lifestyle. Some of my clients include Stylist, Armani, Kiehl’s, Sipsmith and Danone. In addition to working from my home studio in Banbury, I enjoy working with luxury brands at live illustration events. I have illustrated live in both Harrods and Selfridges, as well as at private events.
I used to work as an in-house artist for a large memorial company where I hand-etched portraits onto gravestones (yes, it’s a real job!) but my heart has always belonged to illustration, so in early 2018, I left my full-time job to pursue it. I am inspired by the elegance of the fashion illustration world as well as vintage photography and traditional Japanese painting. I illustrate using traditional mediums, brush pens and markers, combined with lots of digital magic in Photoshop and Procreate.
I have also recently set up a creative community project with fellow illustrators Matt Roff and Alex Moore called the Oxford Doodle Club. We encourage creatives to connect through drawing live at museums and cultural venues across Oxfordshire and the rest of the UK.

I’m Alex, I’m 24 and am currently working full time as an Advocate for dementia patients. My job funds my film making, which one day I hope to turn into my career. I write, direct and act, and would like to continue with all three throughout my career. They all test a different kind of creativity, which is something I really like. I studied Theatre at York University. I originally wanted to take medicine, but didn’t get the grades – the best thing that ever happened to me!
