My name is Karen Ftouni and I am a digital and analogue photographer based in London.
I am going into my final year at Goldsmiths studying Media and Communications, which so far has provided me with a solid theoretical and practical foundation of the world of media and visual arts.
I was born and raised in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai where I discovered my ever growing love and curiosity for individuals and society as a whole.
My rich Lebanese roots inspire me every day to become more curious and cultivated.
The more time I spend around people, the more I feel the urge to create and capture the endless emotions I and others have towards being and existing in this world.
I hope to get into the advertising industry in aims of becoming an Art Director.
I’m a Film Director and Creative Producer, born in former Czechoslovakia.
I received a Bachelor of Arts from the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava, Slovakia and diploma from the German Film and TV Academy Berlin, Germany.
I was also a jury member at the Berlinale Film Festival in the section “Perspektive Deutsches Kino”.
I was lucky enough to have been accepted for the Talent Transference program, a scheme organized between the Columbia University in NY and my home institution, to develop producing, directing and writing skills.
My first feature script GUN FUN (at the moment in development) was supported by the German Film Fund Medienboard and RBB in the program “Leuchtstoff” and will be produced next year.
You can see more of my work on my website.
